Monroe Organics

About

Monroe Organic Farm is the oldest organic farm in Colorado. In 1936, our family established the Monroe homestead in Weld County, and we have been growing organic produce ever since! We see ourselves as caretakers of this land that we have come to know like a cherished family member.

The goals for Monroe Organic Farms are simple:

  • Grow organic, life-filled, healthy food in ample quantities.

  • Conserve and respect the natural environment in which we work.

  • Provide an educational experience working with Mother Nature for members who want it.In 1993, we organized as a community-supported agriculture (CSA) project because we wanted to work closely with people who appreciate our farming philosophy.

Our farming philosophy emphasizes taste over size and appearance. We constantly try new and unique varieties—including heirlooms—to find the best tasting vegetables our farm can produce.

We don’t deliver our meat to our distribution sites. Orders are picked up at the processing center, Valley Packing. We have summer CSA distribution sites in Aurora, Bailey/Conifer, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Evergreen, Fort Collins, Golden, Greeley/Loveland, Highlands Ranch, Lakewood, Littleton/Centennial, Longmont, Louisville, Steamboat Springs and Wheatridge. Winter sites are in Aurora, Boulder, Centennial/Littleton, Denver, Fort Collins, Greeley, Lakewood, Wheatridfe and Westminster.
